The American Heart Association’s ACLS Prep: ECG & Pharmacology Bundle conveniently combines both the ACLS Prep: ECG and ACLS Prep: Pharmacology eLearning Courses into one convenient bundle for students who are preparing to take an AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course.  ***NOTE: This is not the required precourse work for an ACLS Provider Course or the Heartcode Part 1 for the skills session.  This is a prep for those who are not familiar with ECGs and Pharmacology.***

Course Learning Objectives:
After successfully completing this course, students should be able to:

  • List basic ACLS drugs and their usage
  • Identify ACLS medication doses and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies
  • Apply basic pharmacology into the ACLS algorithms
  • Explain heart anatomy and basic electrophysiology
  • Explain normal ECG measurements
  • Recognize and understand basic arrhythmias

This course is an online review of basic ECG and pharmacology information required to be successful in an ACLS Provider course.  This does not replace the required Precourse Work for attending an ACLS Provider class, this is supplemental material to assist with preparations for those not familiar with the ACLS concepts.
